The new season of the Bear is here, and we’re reminiscing on Jeremy Allen White living in Chicago. While we all love an opulent night out with decadent slices of Ribeye, Filet Mignon, or Skirt Steak, we usually have to plan it in advance. Let’s face it—it can be hard to get a reservation at some of Chicago’s most celebrated restaurants. However, if you’re Jeremy Allen White—the most recognized celebrity in Chicago right now—you can surely stroll into any restaurant, snap your fingers, and have a linen-white table prepared with an elegant meal and a glass of a cabernet—or so we would’ve thought.
On his latest appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Bear star told how he and co-star Ayo Edebiri walked into Gibson’s Steakhouse in Chicago and tried to get a table—but was sadly denied. He said candidly, “While we didn’t have a reservation, Ayo and I went up to the host and said, “Hey, it’s us, it’s us… we’re good, right?” And while the host may have recognized him (or not), they didn’t budge—telling both Jeremy and Ayo that it would be an hour and a half wait. Apparently stars… they’re just like us. And next time, they’ll be sure to make a reservation.
Season 3 of The Bear started in Chicago in March and went into April. It was recently announced they’ll be filming Season 4 back-to-back with Season 3, which means we can all celebrate another season of our favorite show. Hopefully, Jeremy will have fewer problems getting into Gibson’s Steakhouse this year—he deserves the best.
