A Canada Goose went viral last week after making its nest at Wrigley Field—and now the Friendly Confines are stepping up to immortalize the feathered fan with one of baseball’s highest honors: its very own bobblehead.
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has unveiled a design for the “Wrigley Goose” bobblehead—nicknamed “Suzuki” by some fans in honor of Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki.
The bird was first spotted lounging in a juniper bush during the Cubs’ Saturday, April 5 game against the San Diego Padres. Officials quickly blocked off the area to protect the goose and its nest.
“We’re excited to unveil the first bobblehead featuring the Wrigley Goose,” said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, in a statement shared with ABC Chicago.
“This bobblehead will be the perfect way for fans to commemorate the Wrigley Goose!”
The collectible is currently available for online presale and is expected to ship in October.
