With the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) season just 10 days away, Sports Illustrated (SI) is gearing up for an unforgettable season by ranking the best ballparks in the US—and one familiar stadium has topped the list!
Wrigley Field is the #1 ballpark in the US, according to Sports Illustrated, outranking 29 other US stadiums to claim the coveted top spot.
So, what makes the Friendly Confines stand out? A blend of old-school charm and modern accessibility.

Any Chicagoan will tell you Wrigley Field is unlike any other stadium—and Sports Illustrated agrees, highlighting its vintage scoreboard, ivy-covered walls, and timeless atmosphere.
While much-needed updates have strengthened the park’s amenities, such improvements have not detracted from Wrigley Field’s classic atmosphere, according to SI.
In addition to the in-park offerings, a robust and ever-growing crop of restaurants, bars, and retail options surround Wrigley Field, making the gameday experience better than ever before!

This ranking comes as no surprise to Chicagoans—a fact SI acknowledges. “Is this a predictable choice for MLB’s best ballpark? Yes, but predictable isn’t so bad in baseball,” writes SI editor Nick Selbe.
“Like a hot dog and a cold beverage or the seventh inning stretch, ranking Wrigley Field No. 1 just feels right.”
