Rumors have swirled for months that Whole Foods could soon open its first location on the West Side of Chicago—and now we have confirmation.
The popular organic grocery chain is slated to open in Wicker Park in a landmarked building.
Here’s what we know so far.
Whole Foods Wicker Park coming soon

A Whole Foods spokesperson confirmed to Block Club Chicago that a new location will open at the historic Home Bank and Trust Company building in Wicker Park (1200 N Ashland Ave.)
The building previously housed a CVS pharmacy on its ground floor until 2023.
Official confirmation of the Whole Foods follows months of speculation on social media.
The Wicker Park location will be the first outpost for the grocery chain on the Northwest side of Chicago.

Whole Foods is just one of multiple grocery chains expanding its footprint on the Northwest side.
Earlier this year, local officials announced a Trader Joe’s will open in Logan Square along Milwaukee Avenue.
An exact opening timeline for the Wicker Park Whole Foods is still up in the air.
