It’s a sad day for fans of FX’s “The Bear”—according to a report from Deadline, the smash-hit Chicago-based series is coming to an end.
Here’s what we know so far.
“The Bear” closes up shop

Sources have reportedly confirmed to Deadline that “The Bear” will officially wrap after the upcoming fifth season, which has recently been filming in Chicago and set to air later this year.
The wildly popular show premiered in 2022, and follows the whacky antics of Chef Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edibiri), Richie Jerimovich (Ebon Moss Bachrach), and crew as they navigate the ups and downs of the cutthroat Chicago restaurant industry.
The show has won numerous Emmy awards and grown a dedicated following over the course of its 4-year run.
According to Deadline, star Jeremy Allen White previously confirmed that show writer Christ Storer planned to end the series after the fourth season.
