The Gold Coast is gaining a new culinary gem this summer: The Alston will open its doors on May 30, promising an innovative take on the traditional Chicago steakhouse experience.
Traditional steakhouse meets French refinement
Created by Michelin-starred chef Jenner Tomaska and the Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, The Alston blends classic steakhouse elegance with French Nouvelle cuisine, according to its website.
The 350-seat restaurant seeks to establish itself amongst the best steakhouses in Chicago, with a lavish menu and sophisticated beverage program.
Guests will enjoy bread and cheese service, prime cut steaks, fresh seafood, and a long list of vintage and boutique wines. Tableside carving will bring the kitchen to the table, turning each meal into an interactive culinary experience.
Fine dining ambiance
Elegance extends beyond the plate at The Alston, where the interior design sets a tone of timeless sophistication.
Hanging chandeliers cast a warm glow over rich leather seating, while organic greenery softens the space with a modern, natural touch.
The result is an atmosphere that’s both refined and welcoming—perfectly complementing the elevated dining experience.
In addition to the main dining room, the restaurant features a full bar, private events space, and member’s only club.
