To celebrate SpongeBob’s 25th anniversary, local restaurants in Chicago will be creating their own real-life Krabby Patty. This means you’ll have the opportunity to taste the iconic Krabby Patty and other dishes inspired by the secret formula that Plankton was so obsessed with all these years.
Nickelodeon and Paramount have partnered with Off The Menu and The MRG Group to bring the Bikini Bottom dish to life. Don’t worry if you’re not near Chicago or a participating city; Wendy’s is serving a special “Krabby Patty Kollab” Burger and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty at locations across the country until early November.
Sherry Liu, SVP of Studio Franchise Strategy & Operations, Nickelodeon and Paramount said:
SpongeBob SquarePants began his journey as a fry cook, flipping Krabby Patties in the pilot episode of the series 25 years ago, and the coveted patty has since remained an enduring fixture in Bikini Bottom. Though its formula remains a secret, SpongeBob SquarePants fans will now be able to enjoy imaginative interpretations of the legendary Krabby Patty through this unique collaboration.
