The exciting new mini-golf and cocktail experience aims to transport guests to wholly unexpected locations while fusing fine dining and competitive socializing.
Following the opening of Puttshack in Oak Brook towards the end of last year, another exciting new mini-golf concept bar opened in Chicago.
Featuring a modern spin on golf putting, fusing high-tech gameplay with craft cocktails and curated cuisine, Puttery from Drive Shack Inc. opened to the public in the heart of Fulton Market District in early November.
According to an official release, the new 23,000-square-foot venue features “uniquely themed putting courses, stunning bars, and swanky lounge spaces within a lively atmosphere to provide an unmatched immersive experience.”

Puttery prides itself on its unique courses, designed to be “a visceral, intricately detailed experience that transports guests to a wholly unexpected location.” The lavishly decorated courses in other Puttery locations range from rooftops to libraries and are unlike any other mini-golf courses we’ve seen in the Midwest. A scoring technology also means digital scorecards show up at each hole to ensure nobody needs to carry around pencils and paper.
The two themed, nine-hole courses are known as the Library course and the Lodge course. Guests can “browse the shelves, spin the globe, say hi to the dimetrodon and beat the pants off your friends” on the former and “take in Rocky Mountain sights in between shots, get toasty by the wall-length fireplace and stop for a ski lift selfie” at the latter according to the release.

Despite its exciting design, Puttery hopes to be recognized for its specialty cocktails and chef-driven menu as much as its elegant putting courses. Whether you’re eating or playing, a delectable food and beverage program with shareable plates and craft cocktails aims to tempt people regardless of whether they plan for some light competition or not.
“As a city known for its nightlife and culinary scenes, we are thrilled to officially open our doors and share the Puttery experience with Chicago,” said Drive Shack Inc. President and CEO Hana Khouri. “Between being immersed in competitive socialization on our courses, our creative culinary and cocktail offerings, and our fun atmosphere, we know Puttery Chicago will soon become a staple for Chicagoans and tourists alike.”

Puttery Chicago is located at 932 W Randolph St. Reservations are now available and can be booked up to 10 days in advance. Private events for up to 450 guests are also available for booking.
