If you missed the chance to party at Chicago’s popular Lincoln Park Zoo last weekend, or couldn’t go because you had kids to care for—worry not—an extra special night at the zoo is taking place this coming weekend.
Lincoln Park Zoo is inviting families to camp out at the zoo on Saturday night and “wake up to the calls of gibbons and flamingos.”
According to the Lincoln Park Zoo website, “the night begins with pitching tents and prepping your campsite. Then visit some of the zoo animals, explore animal activity stations, and enjoy a campfire and s’mores. Spend time relaxing at your campsite before you—and the rest of the zoo—turn in for the night. Wake up to the calls of gibbons and flamingos and grab some breakfast before taking a leisurely morning hike.“
Taking place this Saturday, August 12, Campout at the Zoo is for families with children aged between 5 and 12. Both full overnight stays and evening-only options are available for families. Guests are free to explore between the hours of 6 pm and 10:30 pm on Saturday and 7 am and 8:30 am on Sunday.
The zoo will host another Campout at the Zoo on Saturday, August 26.
