Chicago’s famed food scene is home to an array of top pizza joints and different types of pizza ranging from Spacca Napoli Pizzeria and its Neapolitan-style thin-crust pizzas which recently saw it named one of the 100 best pizzerias in the world to Pequod’s Pizza and its famed Chicago-style deep-dish pizza.
Now one of New York’s most famous pizza joints is branching out to the Windy City this year.
Prince Street Pizza which first opened on Manhattan’s Prince Street in 2012 is coming to Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. Hoping to open some time this fall, the popular pizza spot will open a location at 939 W. Randolph St. in West Loop in the space that was previously Little Goat Kitchen.
“We are thrilled to open Prince Street Pizza in Chicago as it’s one of the greatest food cities in America, known for its incredible pizza. Our signature Sicilian pies are a great balance between the city’s famous tavern and deep-dish styles and we look forward to introducing them this fall in Fulton Market, said the Prince Street Pizza in an official release. “It’s an honor to be surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Chicago, in a neighborhood with such a vibrant food culture.”
The menu of the original Prince Street Pizza offers large Neopolitan Pizzas, small Pizzetas, and ‘Sicilian SoHo Squares’ which are “Sicilian-style squares with a thick, crisp and fluffy crust.”
Prince Street Pizza has 13 different outposts in New York, Las Vegas, Miami, California and Toronto. According to the release there will be a number of Chicago-exclusive menu items at the incoming West Loop location.
