If you awoke to this unusually warm February morning and found yourself unable to text, call, or surf the internet, you weren’t alone. Starting Thursday morning, there was a nationwide cellphone outage with service outages across main cellphone providers in the U.S., including AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
The cellphone outages primarily affect AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile customers. There also appeared to be network issues with Cricket, Consumer Cellular, Boost Mobile, and other regional services, according to Downdetector. The carriers began reporting issues with their services around 2 a.m. CT Thursday. According to tracking site DownDetector, AT&T users first saw a spike in outages at 3:31 am with 32,553 outage reports. The problem escalated to 73,666 reported outages at 7:16 am.
“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning.
