The United States is home to a wide range of awe-inspiring attractions. From theme parks and national parks to bridges and beaches, both impressive man-made marvels and astounding natural spectacles can be found all over the country drawing visitors from around the globe.
For the most part, each state is, of course, going to loyally back their own landmarks and monuments as the best of the bunch but of all the tourist attractions across the country which actually receive the best reviews?
Taking the 50 most popular tourist attractions in the United States based on annual visitors, vacation site Family Destinations Guide analyzed the highest percentage of five-star reviews on Tripadvisor to see which of the 50 most visited attractions scored the highest.
Well, what do you know… coming in at number 8 of all attractions in the United States was our very own Millennium Park.

Unsurprisingly, Arizona’s Grand Canyon and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park between North Carolina and Tennessee shared first place as the best tourist attractions in the U.S. with 89% of excellent reviews on Tripadvisor.
Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge, New York City’s Central Park, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, San Diego’s Balboa Park, and The National Mall in Washington D.C. followed up the next five places ahead of Millennium Park in Chicago which was placed 8th best tourist attraction in the country.

With 25 million visitors per year, Millennium Park was actually the third most visited in the top 10 behind Central Park’s 42 million and The National Mall’s 32 million. 71% of Tripadvisor reviews gave Millennium Park a 5-star rating.
Sitting atop parking garages the park has received numerous awards for its green design and accessibility as well as its array of venues, outdoor spaces, and public art.
Home to such marvels as The Bean (aka Cloud Gate), Crown Fountain, and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion as well as the McCormick Tribune Ice Skating Rink, Millennium Park has become one of Chicago’s most treasured features and is now considered, by many, to be the most important project to take place in Chicago since the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893.
The other two places in the top ten were EPCOT and Magic Kingdom both located in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
