After being bundled up all winter in Chicago, we’re naturally ready to get outdoors and explore nature. While many of us are familiar with the parks—there are hundreds of them in and around the city—we’re sure you might be less familiar with the flowers, especially the tulip fields near Chicago. We have rounded up some of our favorite places to see them this spring.
Richardson Adventure Farm
If you’re looking for tulip fields near Chicago in the spring, consider visiting Richardson Adventure Farm, where you’ll get to meander through their five-acre tulip field. Each year, the farm hosts a Tulip Festival, featuring 350,000 bulbs and 40 different varieties, and this year, there’s an exciting addition: 50,000 daffodils in addition to the tulips that were planted last fall!
After taking photos and picking your bouquets, relax at the lakeside picnic tables while enjoying snacks and drinks from food trucks. If you visit on the weekend, you can also enjoy live music performances.
