This spring, if you’re looking for a beautiful getaway, consider visiting the Netherlands—but we’re not referring to the country in Europe. Instead, head to Holland, Michigan, which boasts some of the most stunning tulip fields in the country. You can see the most stunning tulip fields without the need to hop on a plane!
Every year Holland, hosts a Tulip Time Festival. This celebration began in 1929 when the city saw its first crop of 100,000 tulips bloom. Since then, millions of tulips blossom in Holland every spring.
The Tulip Time Festival features floats, marching bands, and Dutch Dancers in over two miles of pure celebration. Throughout the week, you can enjoy Dutch Dancers as they perform traditional folk dances, high-kicking their wooden shoes, throughout downtown.
Beyond the festival, you’ll be able to saunter through a field of tulips. Dutch horticulturist Ibo Gülsen will create the floral immersion experience called Tulip Immersion Garden, which will feature approximately 50,000 raised tulip beds arranged in three distinct displays.
