One of Chicago’s best summer music festivals is right around the corner! Wicker Park Fest is set to take place from July 22 to the 24th with an incredible lineup of musicians taking the stage.
Spend the three-day festival seeing your favorite artists perform live, enjoying endless food and drink vendors, and taking in the beautiful city scenery. The festival is taking place along Milwaukee Avenue from North Avenue to Ashland Ave. and it’s a dog friendly event, too, as long as they’re leashed! Wicker Park Fest is put on by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce every year, and this year, Goose Island Beer Company is sponsoring the can’t miss festival. Artists like The Happy Fits, Caroline Rose, Tom The Mailman, Y La Bamba, and more.
If you’re coming from out of town, check out the local hotels for a cozy weekend stay. For locals, street closures are expected. Milwaukee Ave, Honore St, Evergreen Ave, and Wolcott Ave will all be closed starting Thursday, July 22 through the 26th.
A $10 gate donation is put towards festival production by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce also partners with Burr Elementary, which will receive 100% of the ticket sales from activities in the Kids Fest area.
As far as getting to the festival, if you’re taking the “L” just hop on the Blue Line to the Division or Damen stops. If you’re coming from Division, walk Northwest on Milwaukee; from Damen, walk one-half block north.
