Is a visit to the Great Pyramids on your bucket list? Chicagoans will have a new convenient route for taking the trip of a lifetime beginning this summer.
The first-ever direct route from the Windy City to Egypt is launching this June.
Here’s all the details.
Chicago to Cairo nonstop

The Chicago Department of Aviation and Egyptian air carrier Egyptair have announced the inaugural nonstop route from Chicago to Cairo, Egypt.
The direct route will operate three days a week beginning June 21, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Each flight will depart from O’Hare International Airport at 10:30 a.m. and take approximately 11 hours.

Mayor Brandon Johnson celebrated the new direct route in a statement saying, “I’m proud to welcome Egyptair to Chicago as O’Hare’s newest air carrier.”
