A new upscale steakhouse is set to open this spring in River North, with one of Chicago’s most acclaimed chefs at the helm.
“The Alston” is the latest concept from the Fifty/50 Group, the hospitality collective behind dining spots like The Berkshire Room in River North and Kindling in the Willis Tower.
The hospitality group has teamed up with acclaimed Chef Jenner Tomaska, best known for his role as Executive Chef at the Michelin-starred Esmé in Lincoln Park.
The 350-seat restaurant seeks to establish itself amongst the best steakhouses in Chicago with a unique, French-inspired flair.
Open-fire cooking and unique service additions like tableside meat carving will make for a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
The Alston also promises a Champagne bar and expertly curated wine program, along with private events space and a stunning outdoor terrace.
“Our goal for The Alston is to reimagine the traditional Chicago steakhouse,” said Tomaska in a statement.
“The Alston will offer an unforgettable dining experience in one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Chicago.”
