Taqueria Chingón is so back!
The acclaimed taco spot has announced plans to relocate to Fulton Market, four months after shuttering its original location in Bucktown.
“Aannnnd we’re back!!” wrote staff in an Instagram post.
“Didn’t plan on being this soon, but we found an amazingly Chingon location at 817 w. Fulton market and we couldn’t say no. Our new space has indoor seating, a patio, and a huge kitchen so we’re don’t have to prep on speed racks anymore!”
Staff confirmed they’re aiming for a May 1 opening date, just in time for summer patio season.
Following its opening during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Taqueria Chingón (literally translating to “Badass Taco Shop”) forged a stellar reputation, earning a spot in the prestigious Michelin Guide.
Elevated taco options like duck carnitas and housemade tortillas helped the locally-owned restaurant garner rave reviews from customers.
While Taqueria Chingón has been sorely missed, fans of the top notch taco joint won’t have to wait much longer to get their fix!
