With a large Mexican population and a world-renown food scene, Chicago is teeming with taquerias of all kinds. Tomorrow, that array of reliable taco joints is about to grow with the addition of the acclaimed Mexican eatery Tacombi.
The popular taqueria will tomorrow open a Chicago location at 126 N. Peoria just steps away from Fulton Market’s bustling Restaurant Row.
Spanning over over 3,800 square feet of space the new Tacombi outpost is not just the first Chicago location but the first Tacombi in the Midwest with over 17 locations across New York, Miami and the Greater Washington D.C. area.
Guests can expect Tacombi favorites such as Tacos al Pastor, Baja Crispy Fish Tacos, Beef Birria Tacos with Consomé, Quesadillas Gringas with al Pastor Pork, and much more.
The chains popular Mexican cocktails like Spicy Margarita, Paloma, and Spiked Sandia featuring tequila, watermelon, and lime will also be available at the Fulton Market location as well as spirit-free options like homemade Aguas Frescas in a variety of flavors such as Agua de Sandia, Agua de Piña, Agua de Jamaica, and more.
The Chicago Tamcombi will also have a retractable garage door offering al fresco dining during the summer months.
“Our goal has always been to share and highlight the beauty of Mexican food and culture and with Chicago being home to the best Mexican food in the country, we’re honored to share and be on this journey with the community” said Tacombi Founder, Dario Wolos.
When it opens tomorrow the nonprofit organization The Tacombi Foundation will donate its first 250 meals to community partners including Enlace Chicago and New Life Centers, two organizations located in Chicago’s Little Village community.new Chicago community partners.
The Chicago outpost will be open seven days a week with happy hours from 4 pm until 7 pm Monday through Friday.
