This Sunday’s Bears vs. Browns game could be among the coldest in history, as real feel temperatures plunge as low as -12.
The thermometer could dip into the single digits, marking just the 11th time in Bears history that gameday temperatures have fallen that low, according to NBC5.
To ensure fans stay warm, Soldier Field is upping its cold weather resources to keep everyone safe. Here’s a look at the stadium policies and everything to know before you go!
Staying warm at Sunday’s game

Soldier Field will install 4 warming stations during Sunday’s game at the following locations:
- The base of the ramp at the Southwest Tunnel (next to the Pro Shop/Concourse)
- The Loop Landing near Gate 31/Section 144
- North West Colonnades
- South West Colonnades
Fans are also permitted to wear battery-operated heating elements; those who do may be subject to additional security screening and are advised to arrive at the gates early.
For those looking to keep warm the old fashioned way, hot chocolate, hot cider, and coffee will be available at concessions throughout the stadium.
Additional policies to know
Soldier Field’s usual regulations will remain in effect, including its standard bag policy and a rule which prohibits visitors from bringing in cardboard to sit on.
Parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Sunday, and gates will open at 10 a.m. sharp.
