The SOAR Farmers Market will be back on the MCA Plaza.
The Streeterville Organization of Active Residents will be reopening their Farmers Market with all of their vendors next Tuesday in MCA Plaza. The reopening will be accompanied by a new set of guidelines to ensure public safety.
“This year will be a different format and experience but all of our vendors have returned with their farm fresh produce, baked goods and beautiful flowers,” the organization wrote in an Instagram post.
“SOAR is following all of the required State and City guidelines for social distancing, sanitation, and contactless payment. The safety of our customers and vendors are our top priority.”
As a part of the market’s guidelines, customers are required to wear face coverings while also maintaining at least an arm’s distance between other shoppers and vendors. The market will have one entry point and one exit point and encourages shoppers not to linger. As such, the market encourages shoppers to have a list ready of produce or products that they wish to buy to facilitate the flow.
Only 40 individuals will be admitted to the market at a time. The market will not allow dogs or other pets unless they are service dogs. No consumption of purchased food will be allowed on site.
SOAR announced that all of their vendors would be returning, those include:
