
Six Flags Great America is officially open in suburban Gurnee Illinois, and there’s tons of new thrills in store for the 2025 season.
The highly anticipated Wrath of Rakshasa roller coaster is blasting off for the first time this spring in the County Fair section of ther park.
Described a a “descent into the abyss,” the massive dive coaster features a 171-foot drop at a record-breaking 96 degree angle.
Additionally, the coaster includes five inversions and reaches speeds up to 67 miles per hour, promising an adrenaline rush like no other.
Six Flags Great America is currently open on weekends and select weekdays. Daily operations begin at the end of May and continue through late August.
