Usually, when we’re laughing with Dunkin’, Ben Affleck is involved. It’s either him spilling his Dunkin’ coffee, him smoking with Dunkin’, or him, Matt Damon, and JLo singing about Dunkin’ coffee. Ben Affleck just seems to be the comedic face of Dunkin… that is, until now. I’m here to tell you we just laughed a lot with Dunkin’, and it wasn’t because of Ben Affleck.
Dunkin’ has partnered with The Second City, a beloved comedy theater, to produce a hilarious improv show called “The Second City and Dunkin’ Present: Ring Lights & Lattes.” The show evokes SNL-style skits with Second City’s renowned improv comedy style while infusing Dunkin’s material—we found ourselves in tears during this show.
Second City Works Creative Director Tyler Dean Kempf said:
Stacked with hilarious sketches, improv, and perhaps even a cameo from America’s favorite cup-shaped mascot, anything can happen, and no two performances will be the same.
The show is exclusive to The Second City and will only be available until the end of October. We won’t give any spoilers, but Dunkin’s mascot, who shall go by the name Cuppy, makes an appearance. Also, if that didn’t convince you, there will be giveaways and surprises at every show. (Dunkin’ latte martini, anybody? Or how about the addicting munchkins?)
