While we enjoy lounging on a towel along the sand near the waves of Lake Michigan or leisurely splashing in a rooftop pool, nothing beats the thrill of a great water park getaway.
Fortunately, Raging Waves will kick off the new season Memorial Day weekend—a full week earlier than last year. Originally opened in 2008, the park featured 17 waterslides, a quarter-mile-long lazy river, a 350,000-gallon wave pool, a sand area, a leisure pool, and two restaurants. Now, Raging Waves has expanded to cover 58 acres, adding 15 more waterslides, 43 private cabanas, 11 dining options, and much more.
For 2025, Raging Waves is set for a major upgrade, starting with the addition of a massive, stadium-sized LED video screen—two stories tall and as wide as a tennis court—on the back wall of the Barrier Reef Wave Pool.
This exciting new feature will bring a fresh burst of visual energy with movies, music videos, and other interactive experiences.
Jeff Hansen, Raging Waves’ General Manager:
Coming off our best-ever season in 2024, we’ve been hard at work on ways to make every visit to Raging Waves a fun, memorable experience. We listened to guest feedback and are focusing on exciting enhancements like our enormous new stadium-size LED video screen at the wave pool, plus improvements to speed of service and overall comfort.
When does Raging Waves open for the 2025 season?
Raging Waves will open for the 2025 season on Memorial Day weekend, May 24th, 2025.
