A kaleidoscope of color awaits you in these gorgeous tulip fields.
Though the city is continuing to reopen and things look optimistic, you might still be craving an international journey. Thankfully there are virtual highlights to whet your travel appetite. If you’ve already explored the Louvre Museum, or marveled at the Northern Lights, you can now see the full bloom of spring with a little online excursion to the Keukenhof Flower Exhibit in The Netherlands.
What you’ll get is an eye-opening splash of color, with some 7 million flowers now in bloom. The 2020 show was held virtually as a result of the pandemic, and as of this year, you can still watch the 2021 show online! The production is a series of stunning videos – hosted on Keukenhof’s YouTube channel – which wander lazily through the nodding flowers and fill the heart with joy.
Keukenhof’s gardeners and designers appear in many of the videos, taking you on little tours of their favorite areas, and picking out displays they’re especially fond of. They’ve maintained a lovely trend of adding a new video every couple of days (with 13 videos already in the 2021 series), so you’ll have plenty of videos to dive into. It’s wholesome stuff, so don’t underestimate the power of the flowers…
