Mercadito is officially set to open a second location in Lincoln Park.
After 17 years at its flagship River North location, Mercadito Lincoln Park will bring the brand’s signature menu and energy to the north neighborhood on June 4.
William McDavid, Managing Partner of Mercadito, said:
We’ve built an incredible community in River North over the years, and we’re excited to bring that same energy and experience to a neighborhood that feels equally dynamic and welcoming.
This location allows us to evolve the Mercadito experience while staying true to what guests have always loved about the brand.

Mercadito is expanding to Lincoln Park on June 4
The Lincoln Park menu expands on Mercadito’s longstanding favorites while introducing exclusive new dishes and an enhanced dessert program at both locations. Unique to Lincoln Park, guests can savor the new Quesabirria Pizza, which features layers of beef birria, Oaxaca, Chihuahua, and Gouda cheeses, along with pickled red onion, avocado, and crema. The menu also marks the debut of the Sangrita cocktail.
Signature dishes include short rib quesabirrias, queso fundido, handmade guacamoles, and fresh ceviches. There’s also an extensive taco selection featuring butter-poached langosta, a variety of mushrooms (hongos), ancho-rubbed pastor, and beer-battered baja. Larger-format entrées are available, including chile relleno, enchiladas, pollo a las brasas, and Mercadito’s popular Argentinian steak frites.
The Mexican spot will initially open for dinner service, with brunch launching in mid-to-late June. The brunch will feature a bottomless experience priced at $35 per person, including unlimited margaritas, mimosas, aguas frescas, Topo Chicos, Bloody Marys, and Tecates. There will also be happy hour specials, with select cocktails and food priced at $10 each.
