Though we have only just started to enjoy the beginning of fall in Chicago, the preemptive Christmas jingles have begun their usual premature ringing and festive fun like Christkindlemarket and Chicago’s many ice rinks have started announcing their imminent arrival.
Now the Grammy Award-winning Queen of Christmas herself has joined the Chicago Christmas calendar with the announcement of a concert in Chicago this coming festive season.
Taking her to 13 different cities around the United States and Canada, Mariah Carey will begin her Merry Christmas One and All! holiday tour next month on Wednesday, November 15th in Highland, California before wrapping up at New York’s Madison Square Garden roughly a month later on Sunday, December 17th.
In celebration of the global superstar’s world-renowned holiday classics, the 13-date tour will make two stops in Canada in Montreal and Vancouver before heading down to the Midwest for a show at the United Center in Chicago on Sunday, December 3rd.
Back in 2014, Carey first began performing special All I Want for Christmas Is You mini-shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre. Three years later she added shows in Las Vegas and then also in Europe. With a break during the pandemic, she performed at holiday shows in New York and Toronto last year.
“Yes, the actual defrosting has begun!” wrote Carey on an Instagram post announcing the tour.
