Bars in the city are closed, but the one in your home isn’t! Learn how to craft your own signature margarita with this crash course in tequila!
Why are margaritas so magical? What is the difference between Jose Cuervo and Patron? And what in the heck is mezcal? All of these questions will be answered in Virtual Cocktail Seminar: Making Your Own Signature Margarita!
Cinco de Mayo is only one day a year, but the margarita is a lifestyle. Fever Originals is collaborating with Brix Catering & Events to provide you with a virtual cocktail seminar that will be the key to your start in living the lime life. At the very least, it’s worth a shot!
Get schooled on the ins and outs of tequila production, mezcal, and all the sweet and salty facts about what goes into making the perfect margarita.
Lead by Zachary Greatting, a sommelier and graduate student of the Culinary Institute of America Greystone, this course will teach you everything you need to know about making a killer marg — and how to make your own personal touch with the best fruit in your pantry!
The course will teach you how to make simple build-in-glass cocktails like agua fresca, how to make and flavor simple syrup, and how differentiate between top-shelf tequilas like Jose Cuervo and Patron.
Each margarita kit will include the necessary ingredients to make four pitcher-perfect cocktails, including: citrus, sweeteners, spirit, and maybe a surprise or two!
While the kits don’t come with bar tools, you will learn how to flip your kitchen into a mixologist laboratory with tips from the pros — like how to use cups as shakers!
Making Your Own Signature Margarita will go live on Zoom at 6:30 pm CST on June 19. Choose to have your kit delivered or opt for a no-contact pickup at Brix Catering & Events located at 2036 W Roscoe St. available on Wednesdays, 12 – 2 pm; Fridays, 4 – 6 pm; and Saturdays, 12 – 2 pm.
Deliveries are only available within Chicago city limits.
The course takes place June 19, but it wouldn’t tequila to order your kit now!
