If you’re one to suggest a seafood restaurant for every group dinner and are drawn to a briny bite of delectable fish, then you have probably heard of Lure Fishbar. The restaurant not only has one of the freshest fish selections in the city but also has a complete raw bar with a rotating oyster selection and a world-class sushi program.
However, for the next several Thursdays, something other than seafood will be catching your eye—aromatized, earthy, and balanced vino. Lure Fishbar will be hosting FREE Pop-Up Wine Bar Tastings in their lounge from 5—6:30 pm. After the wine tastings, all the wines poured will be available for purchase as a special feature all weekend.
This Thursday’s event, they will be celebrating the Beaujolais Nouveau release with the wines of Terres Dorees, where they will be tasting out the Nouveau and two cru Beaujolais.
The following Thursdays, Lure will be celebrating:
- November 30: Warm up in South Africa
- December 7: Return to Ribera with the wine of Emilio Mora
If you can’t make it to one of these wine tastings but are still enticed by the luxurious yachtlike interior, you can celebrate Thanksgiving with a special pre-fixed menu there. For appetizers, patrons can choose between Fall Squash Soup with toasted pumpkin seeds and creme fraiche or Chicories & Roasted Pear Salad made with endive, stilton bleu, toasted walnuts, and maple vinaigrette. Maybe even pair it with a glass of refreshing vino.
