Do you think apple season ends with the month of September? If so, you would be mistaken, because apple season is still going strong—in fact, the largest apple festival in Chicago takes place the first weekend of October.
Lincoln Square’s 39th Annual Apple Fest is returning this weekend with fresh-picked fruit, cider, live music, and more than 100 vendors.
Shoppers can browse apples, cider, and seasonal favorites from Midwest farms, sample apple-inspired dishes from local restaurants and food vendors, and sip hard cider, non-alcoholic cider, or seasonal beer.
In addition to food, there will be artists, activities for kids, and, as if you needed another selling point, live music for everyone to dance to.
When and where is Apple Fest?
Apple Fest takes place on North Lincoln Avenue between West Lawrence and West Sunnyside Avenues in Lincoln Square.
- Friday, October 2: 3–7 p.m.
- Saturday, October 3: 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Sunday, October 4: 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Admission: $5 suggested donation.
If you’re not ready to say goodbye to fall’s favorite fruit, you’ve got a whole weekend—month—left to celebrate.
