The former Inn at Lincoln Park has sat vacant for years, but all that could change thanks to a new residential development proposal.
New York-based Validus Capital has put forth a plan to convert the existing century-old building at 601 W Diversey Pkwy. into 40 new apartments, according to a report from Urbanize Chicago. Architecture firm SPACE Architects + Planners will spearhead the building’s design.
The developer has not included the building’s adjacent parking lot in development plans, instead opting to include 40 bike parking spots for residents.
The project reportedly includes a mix of 7 studios, 12 one-beds, 19 two-beds, and 2 three-bed apartments split between 5 levels.
Developers have reportedly filed construction permits and are waiting on city approval.
