Jeremy Allen White and Austin Butler have been causing a stir on Chicago social media lately. The pair have been exploring the touristy spots over the past few weeks while on set for their new movie, Enemies, which is being filmed in the city this summer.
According to Deadline, the duo will portray “a relentless detective and an infamous contract killer” who come together for a “deadly game of cat and mouse.” While it’s not yet clear who will play which roles, it’s safe to say they will be enemies.
Everything we know about the movie Enemies
The A24 film is written and directed by Henry Dunham, with Ari Aster serving as a producer. Although this is purely speculative, it’s easy to imagine The Bear’s White as the weary Chicago detective facing an unprecedented case.
On the other hand, it seems Butler would be perfect for the role of an assassin. Even if it’s the opposite, with these two, Hollywood’s rising stars, we’re definitely looking forward to it.
Since it appears they’ll be in Chicago for the foreseeable future, we’ll keep you updated on their latest whereabouts in the city.
