If there is one neighborhood you can rely on for seasonal spirit and Christmas pop-ups it’s Wrigleyville. When Replay Lincoln Park launches a new pop-up you know it means business. After the success of previous pop-ups, the beloved vintage video games bar has brought back its Harry Potter-themed bar for the holidays.

Running through New Year’s Eve, “A Very Harry Christmas” as it is officially called, offers Potterheads the chance to drink beneath wreaths and garlands of the Hogwart houses, levitating candles, fake snow, and other Potter props that imitate wintertime at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

It’s not just Christmas-themed pop-ups you’ll find in Chicago. Back by popular demand, The Graystone Tavern has resurrected its 8 Crazy Nights: A Hanukkah Bar for 2021. The bar is commemorating the Jewish holiday in its spacious and enclosed new weatherproof patio with over 8,000 blue and white lights and Hanukkah ball lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

The food menu includes favorites like Latkes, Matzo Ball Soup, Brisket Platter, as well as decadent Boozy Jelly Donuts made with housemade vodka-infused jelly. 12. Ski Chalets at Whiskey Business

If you didn’t make it skiing this year and have missed out on those winter après ski vibes worry not because some little ski chalets have popped up on a rooftop in Wicker Park and they look adorable.

Whiskey Business’s rooftop is a notorious watering hole fabled for its variety of over 100 different whiskeys and frequent events. Last year in a time of need, it gave a new lease of life to its 3,000-square-foot multifunctional rooftop offering Chicagoans a series of Christmas movie nights, curling sessions, all you can eat brunches, and more, making their secret hideout a must-visit outdoor space to help get through the winter months.

This year all of the above has returned to the Wicker Park rooftop along with some cute little ski-chalets offering a cozy hideout for friends and family. The bar’s rooftop cabana huts have been decked out with fake fireplaces and alpine decorations so you can sink a few seasonal cocktails while snuggled up with your friends like you’ve just had a day out on the slopes!
