Chicago theatre lovers, rejoice—Hamilton is coming back to the Windy City in 2026!
“We can’t say no to this!,” Broadway in Chicago announce Monday on Facebook, “Hamilton will be returning to the CIBC Theatre for a limited 8 week run! Coming next Spring, March 3 – April 26.”
A long-awaited revival
Hamilton previously played at the CIBC from 2016 through early 2020, regularly selling out and drawing lines of eager theatergoers along Monroe Street.
The show, which tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, has become a cultural phenomenon since its 2015 debut—thanks to its diverse cast, modern musical influences, and bold reimagining of early American history.
Since then, Hamilton has garnered an impressive 11 Tony Awards, a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and countless other accolades, according to the New York Theatre Guide.
