The viral makeup company, which recently launched in Sephora and redid its flagship store in NY, is the purveyor of the Clean Girl aesthetic long before that was actually a thing. The brand launched in 2014 and was exclusively sold online for years.
Now, the brand is coming back to the Windy City sometime this spring, bringing along millennial pink jumpsuits, delicious balms, and boy brow of course! (For those who don’t know, Boy Brow is an ever-popular waxy pomade that slicks brows into place and if you’re looking for a sweet lip balm go for the ‘Fig’ option!)
The cult beauty brand announced its Chicago plans via Instagram, photoshopping its iconic Glossier You Solid Perfume in place of Cloud Gate.
While details are limited (For example, is this Chicago spot a permanent store? Where will it be located exactly? Can we get a specific date and time…. because I’m running low on Gen G in Leo?) the news is nevertheless exciting for the hoards of makeup obsessed girlies sure to show up at the grand opening.
Glossier has stopped by Chicago before, opening a pop-up back in August 2014, at a West Loop location (114 N. Aberdeen St.) to great success, filling the airy loft with endlessly appealing minimalistic products.
Each Glossier store has always had a specific city-central theme designed to fit each space. For example, Glossier Miami’s first space echoed the art-deco glamour of the past while the recent Soho flagship redesign employed the team responsible for the iconic MTA tilework known around NY.
We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available, but for now, it’s ‘go time’ for team Glossier!
