White Sox fans can take solace in one thing after a particularly disastrous season in MLB history: the food. Fuku, pronounced “foo-koo,” is offically coming to Rate Field for the 2025 season.
If you haven’t heard of Fuku, we’ll bring you up to speed. Fuku is a popular chicken sandwich chain that was established in 2015 in New York City by David Chang, part of his renowned Momofuku empire. The must-have menu item? The O.G. chicken sandwich, duh.
There is a reason they are overall your social media; the chicken sandwiches are seasoned with a mild spice from a 24-hour habanero brine, creating a flavorful yet crispy sandwich. While Fuku has expanded to other MLB locations, it has yet to make its way to Chicago. However, that changes today!
Thanks to the White Sox and their partnership with Delaware North, Chicagoans will soon get to enjoy the chicken sandwiches and chicken fingers that used to draw long lines in New York. The Sox Park will be the only place in Chicago where you can sample Chang’s food.
While we hope for a few wins this season, at least White Sox fans can look forward to the delicious crispy sandwich.
