Fan-Favorite ‘Friends’ Pop-Up Experience Is Coming To Chicago This Fall

I’ll be there for youuuu.

It’s officially pop-up season, folks, and to cap it off, television’s beloved sitcom FRIENDS is bringing their hit experience to Chicago!

The event created by Superfly X, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Television is bringing the FRIENDS set to life with two stories and 12 rooms decked out with nostalgia from the series, not withholding: Monica’s kitchen and balcony as well as the one-and-only FRIENDS fountain.

To be located at The Shops at North Bridge on the Magnificent Mile, the FRIENDS Experience will enable super-fans to recreate the most iconic scenes from the TV series, whether it’s reclining in Chandler’s and/or Joey’s chairs, or learning how to proper pivot the couch with Ross. And because no FRIENDS’ pop-up experience would be worth its turkey without Central Perk, the event will also feature a recreated café, where you can pop on the orange couch, or give your worst shot covering Phoebe’s magnum opus, Smelly Cat on guitar!

“We hope The FRIENDS Experience will bring a bit of joy to Chicagoans in these difficult times,” said Jonathan Mayers, Founder and CEO of Superfly X in a press release. “Our team has worked diligently to ensure that the experience provides fans of the show with a fun yet safe environment while visiting.”

In order to ensure public safety, the event will implement numerous sanitary measures, that include required masks, temperature checks, thorough cleaning efforts, and social distancing precautions.

Tickets for the experience, running from October 1 to January 3, are priced at $35 plus taxes and fees, with a portion of every ticket going to Chicago’s local My Block, My Hood, My City organization.

Last but not least, the event will also have a retail store on set. There visitors can purchase exclusive retail products and also get a look at a “life-sized” LEGO re-creation of The Central Perk built from around 900,000 LEGO pieces spanning almost 700 square feet!
