Tahiti and Bora Bora await.
Back in May, Greece announced that it would be welcoming visitors from anywhere in the world from May 14, and whilst the government does not advise international travel at the moment it’s good to know that somewhere so beautiful is waiting to be explored once it’s safe to travel again.
Now, we have more fantastic news as the stunning French Polynesian islands have announced that they too will be opening to tourists from anywhere in the world from May 1. The news comes after a conversation between French President Emmanuel Macron and French Polynesian President Edouard Fritch, in which Fritch elaborated, saying: ‘We will detail precisely the health system with the High Commissioner in the coming days’.
So, the nature of this ‘health system’ is not yet known. It could be that French Polynesia will have certain regulations by which travelers will have to abide upon arrival, but for now, we’re going to sit back and dream of the beautiful blue waters and soft white sand of these gorgeous islands. It will make for a dreamy escape from months without travel for anybody prepared to make the trip to the paradisical island.
