It’s time to set your alarms, Chicago.
On Friday, October 16, Dunkin’ is handing out free bat koozies to customers who buy its new Berry Battie Daydream Refresher. Free. As in zero dollars. As in the best price there is.
The catch about the free Dunkin’ bat koozie? Well, it’s that there are barely any of them. Each participating location is only getting about 10 to 20 free koozies, and they’re going to the first people through the door. That’s not a giveaway. It’s more of a sprint. Don’t hate the messenger.
So if you want one, don’t stroll in at noon. Go early. Like, before-your-first-meeting early. It has bat wings. You can’t not.
Meet Dunkin’s Berry Battie Daydream Refresher
The drink itself drops on Wednesday, October 14, which gives you two days to taste-test before the free Dunkin’ bat koozies come to town. It’s a mix of berry clementine and blueberry flavors with oat milk, topped with purple marshmallow cold foam and edible eyes. Because of course. Nothing says spooky season like a drink that stares back at you.
Dunkin’s Halloween menu this year top tier
The Battie Daydream is just the latest addition, too. Dunkin’ went completely overboard with its Halloween menu, releasing 12 seasonal drinks since late September. Someone in the naming department is clearly having the time of their life and honestly we’re a little jealous. Dream job.
There’s the Terror-misu Cloud Latte, an iced espresso drink with tiramisu flavor, purple marshmallow cold foam and a dusting of hot chocolate powder. The Werewolf Punch Refresher blends blackberry, clementine, mango and pineapple with lemonade. And the Nutty Nightmare Iced Coffee mixes tiramisu and toasted almond flavors into Dunkin’s classic iced coffee with cream. Just to name a few.
How to get your free Dunkin’ koozie in Chicago
The freebie is only at select locations, and Chicago has no shortage of Dunkin’. Before you trek across town, call your neighborhood store and ask if it’s participating. Then show up early on October 16, order the Berry Battie Daydream Refresher, and claim your koozie before the person behind you does.
Will you need a koozie in Chicago in mid-October? Maybe not to keep your drink cold. Maybe to keep your hand warm.
Doesn’t matter. It’s free.
