Back in 2020, The Forge opened in Lemont outside Chicago with an abundance of adrenaline-pumping adventure activities. You name it, there’s a good chance the largest adventure park of its kind in North America has it, whether it’s mountain biking, ropes courses, zip lines, yoga classes, kayaking, augmented reality escape rooms or zombie apocalypse laser tag.
Now the 300-acre action park has announced a 3-day festival in celebration of its 3rd birthday offering free admission, fireworks, live entertainment, and a plethora of family-friendly activities.
Taking place this weekend from Friday, July 14th to Sunday, July 16th, Forge Fest will kick off with unique night trail runs and an MTB race followed by a Glow In The Park climbing experience under the stars with special lights, music, glow sticks, and more.
The rest of the weekend is jam-packed with entertainment, activities, workshops, and competitions of all kinds. From firework shows on Saturday to foam parties on Sunday, there is no shortage of exhilarating experiences to be had at Forge Fest.
Face painting, nature crafts, and garden games will be providing family fun while those there to properly embrace the park’s array of excitement can enter competitions such as climbing time trials, kayak races, archery competitions, and axe throwing competitions.
There will also be performances from internationally renowned Chicago cover band Maggie Speaks and premiere Led Zeppelin tribute band Led Zepellin 2.
Food trucks will be keeping everybody well-fueled throughout the weekend with a variety of options from beloved local vendors including Flyin’ Hawaiian Food Truck, Tacomotora Food Truck, Bricks On Wheels, My Funnel Truck, and Holy Smoke Food Truck.
