If you have a special occasion coming up this fall in Chicago and you were hoping to make a reservation at Bavette’s, you might have to reconfigure your plans.
The popular Windy City steakhouse is taking an extended hiatus beginning next month.

Bavette’s bar & boeuf will close temporarily beginning Saturday, September 19, according to an announcement on the steakhouse’s site.
An exact reason for the closure has not been disclosed, although rumors on social media indicate the hiatus is simply for maintenance.
“We look forward to welcoming you back soon,” the restaurant’s announcement reads.
While an official date is not set, the announcement indicates an expected reopening timeline of mid-November.
Bavette’s is among the most highly rated steakhouses in both Chicago and the United States.
The establishment has received recognition from high-profile outlets and public figures since opening in 2012, including the Michelin Guide and actor Jeremy Allen White of Chicago-based HBO show “The Bear.”
