A detailed tutorial on how to make Disneyland churros is now live.
This is sure to bring your lockdown baking level into overdrive (even if it’s already on 100)! (Featured Image: Disney Park Blogs)
Anyone who’s stepped through the magical gates of Disneyland knows that their famous churros are droplets from heaven. The magic of them is the only thing that comes close to the look on you or your child’s faces when they meet Mickey Mouse for the first time.
Check out the video and Disney Parks Blog for full instructions:
Since none of us can go to Disneyland right now, you can channel part of the experience from your kitchen. This is the breakfast (churros for breakfast is acceptable, right?) your children, housemates or partners are dying to wake up to.
Disney released a recipe for the gold dust items this weekend. Along with their video, this is all you’ll need:
- 1 cup of water
- 8 tablespoons of butter
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ¾ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, divided
- 1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 ½ cups of vegetable or canola oil
- ½ cup of sugar
- Utensils: Saucepan, piping bag, slotted spoon, and a stovetop.
This gives you the recipe for the most popular Disneyland recipe: the cinnamon-infused goodies. But, if you’re not afraid of a bit of trial and error, there are a few other kinds to experiment with, as Disneyland aficionados will tell you. Have a crack at the spicy caliente churros! Oh, and remember not to forget the dip. It’s chocolate for us, please.
This churros making adventure is sure to pass the time until you can all flock back into the gates of the most magical place on earth.
