However, a recent study revealed that Decatur Airport had the longest average flight delays of any airport in the U.S. in 2024.

Data from Exoticca, based on the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows that Decatur Airport has the highest flight delays in the country, averaging 32.89 minutes per flight.
According to Fox32Chicago, a spokesperson for Exoticca said:
