Every summer, Galena offers hot air balloon flights seven days a week, allowing you to drift above the rolling landscapes of Jo Daviess County and the historic Galena countryside. From your 3,000-foot-high perch, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
From June through October, weekday flights feature sunset views, while weekends offer both sunrise and sunset.
Where do the hot air balloon flights originate from?
The flights take off from Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, located six miles outside of Galena, Illinois.
They have several different locations within the resorts, each providing a tranquil experience suspended in the open air and offering magnificent views.
How long are balloons’ flights?
Each flight is roughly 45 minutes to an hour long.
