If you needed another reason to get excited about fall in Chicago, Culver’s Jalapeño Cheese Curds are coming back. The Wisconsin-based fast food chain is bringing them back to locations nationwide for its annual Curdtoberfest.

When Culver’s Jalapeño Cheese Curds are back
Culver’s Jalapeño Cheese Curds return October 12 and stick around through November 29 at Culver’s locations across Chicagoland and beyond. They’ll run you $4.69 to $8.19, depending on size and location.
The spicy curds debuted last year as a twist on Culver’s classic cheese curds, and now they’re back for round two. Fans are, predictably, losing it.
Each crispy bite is packed with gooey Wisconsin cheese and a mild-to-medium kick. Honestly? They’re kind of next level.

Culver’s Curdtoberfest 2026: Smoked Cheddar CurderBurger, $3 curds and more
The curds are landing just in time for the CurderBurger’s yearly return, but unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve noticed it looks a little different for Culver’s 11th official Curdtoberfest.
This year, Culver’s is serving the Smoked Cheddar CurderBurger, built with a golden-fried patty of crispy hickory-smoked cheddar instead of the original. It came back September 28 and will stick around while supplies last, which, if history is any indication, probably means mid-October. Move accordingly.
And that’s not even everything. National Cheese Curd Day (yes, that’s a thing) falls on October 15 this year, and Culver’s is offering Delicious Rewards members $3 curds from 4 to 8 p.m. local time.
We promise we’re almost done. Culver’s is just going off the walls this year. Through October 31, you can also play games at culvers.com/curdtoberfest for a chance to win a trip for four to Germany, cash prizes up to $2,000, and instant-win rewards.
Time to get your curd on.
