The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is celebrating its 78th anniversary on Wednesday, October 1, by bringing out its vintage 4000-series railcars.
The historic train cars date back nearly 100 years to the 1920s and feature a preserved interior complete with wooden fixtures and even replica advertisements.

Riders can take a trip on the special railcars today only, Wednesday, October 1, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The railcars will only make stops in the loop.
Regular fares apply, no separate ticket necessary.
