Don’t let other players throw you for a Loop in this hilarious CTA-themed board game.
The ‘L’ is the nervous system of the city. It’s also the source of constant frustration for many commuting Chicagoans. Transit Tees, the popular Chicago print shop, is hoping to shift commuters’ perspective with their new “EL: The Chicago Transit Adventure Board Game.” Following the success of last year’s Loop card game, the new EL board game transforms commuting into game night fun.
The artists at Transit Tees are long-time fans of the ‘L’ train and an official manufacturer for the Chicago Transit Authority. The shop sells a variety of CTA-themed shirts, stationery, buttons, and now a transit board game. Dodge construction and visit Chicago landmarks as you attempt to make your way back to the State/Lake station. Make sure you have enough fare tokens, though, and prepare for major delays.
Transit Tees are taking pre-orders now for shipment Dec 2. If you love trains or have a NUMTOT in your life that enjoys hilarious table-top adventures, this CTA-themed board game makes an excellent holiday gift. Transit fans are also invited to a free game launch event Nov 23 at The Den Theatre. Attendees will have the first chance to play EL while enjoying a selection of snacks and refreshments.
