Finding flavorsome pasta at a lower price than what’s offered in grocery stores is quite a challenge—pasta can be expensive! However, one of Chicagoland’s most beloved and longest-standing Italian restaurants is reverting its menu prices to those from 1987, with select menu items for under $7 (Yes, you read that right—stunning since nothing is available for under $10 these days).
Clara’s, a family-owned eatery located just outside downtown Chicago, has been serving homemade pasta, fresh seafood, and traditional Italian desserts since it opened its doors in 1987. To celebrate its 38th anniversary, Clara’s will roll back its menu prices to those of its original opening day for one day only, on Thursday, March 13th.
What is part of Clara’s 1987 menu?
- $1 Soakers
- $1.50 for melted cheese
- $1.25 garlic bread (or $1.75 with melted cheese)
- $4.50 choice of pasta with tomato sauce or meat sauce
- $6.25 stuffed shells
- $6.24 manicotti Sant’Angelo
- $6.75 choice of pasta with Alfredo or primavera sauce
- $6.75 lasagna
- $1.50 tiramisu
Where is Clara’s located?
The address is 6550 IL-53, Woodridge, IL 60517
In addition to the anniversary celebration and special pricing, Clara’s will also launch its annual fundraising campaign. This year, 100% of the proceeds from their special housemade lemon delight will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
