This weekend in Chicago is when we’ll finally get our first real taste of spring temperatures!
If predictions from the National Weather Service are any indication, mother nature will treat us to 60 degree highs and clear skies in the coming days.
Here’s a breakdown of the forecast.
60-degree highs beginning Friday

Chicagoans woke up to a morning bout of thunderstorms Friday, and balmy temperatures compared to earlier this week.
The thermometer will top out at 68 degrees Friday, but unfortunately you’ll have to wait to hit the lakefront. Intermittent showers and thunderstorms are possible for much of the day and into the evening, according to the NWS.
Come Saturday, we’ll see a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon, and a high of 62 degrees around 10 a.m. Winds up to 30 mph are possible.

By Sunday, skies will fully clear and we’ll see a high of 58 degrees, along with winds up to 20 mph.
The warm temperatures will continue into early next week, with a high of 64 degrees Monday and lots of sunshine.
So keep your rain coat handy and break out some lightweight outfits, Chicago—it’ll be a spring-like weekend in the Windy City!
