Chicago is set for another taste of spring this weekend, just days after a brutal cold spell gripped the region.
Following sub-freezing temperatures at the beginning of the week, the thermometer will climb into the 60s in the coming days!
Here’s a breakdown of the forecast.
Sunny, high of 61 degrees Saturday

Heading into the weekend, Chicago will see a relatively chilly start with a high of 48 degrees Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Come Friday however, we’re in for a serious temperature spike, as the high climbs to 60 degrees. Friday will also see mostly cloudy conditions and winds up to 20 mph.
Saturday, skies will clear and the high will top out at 61 degrees, making for a beautiful day in the Windy City.

Sunday could bring showers, along with a high of 53 degrees. By Monday, we’ll be back around the freezing mark for a high of 38 degrees.
So make sure you take some time to enjoy the outdoors this weekend, Chicago, because the 60-degree temps won’t last long.
